The use of mass spectrometry for metabolomics research has increased exponentially over the past two decades, providing a highly sensitive analytical tool for quantitative analysis of molecules in complex biological matrices. The purpose of this core is to provide metabolomics and lipidomics mass spectrometry-based experimentation, equipment maintenance, training, scheduling, and billing for use time to help defer maintenance costs. The core will also maintain specialized small equipment necessary for sample preparation and handling.
